How to get there
Plane
Airport Erfurt: Thuringia`s capital, Erfurt, has its own airport with scheduled flights and convenient parking.
Airport Leipzig: The Leipzig International Airport is only half an hour away on the Autobahn.
Airport Frankfurt: Via Frankfurt Airport, you can continue by ICE train from Frankfurt Central Station.
Airport Altenburg: RYANAIR – daily connection from Barcelona/Girona, London/Stansted.
Car
A4: The biggest Autobahn of the state is the A4 which crosses Thuringia between Frankfurt and Dresden and is thus easily reached from all directions.
A71 and A9: Those highways lead to big cities like Munich or Berlin as well. If you wish, you can also reach us through the Romantic Road.
Train
Intercity trains are quick and comfortable. There are IC or ICE connections to all major European cities at least once a day.
ICE – T Munich-Saalfeld-Jena-Leipzig-Berlin-Hamburg; trains run every 2 hours
ICE – T Frankfurt/M.-Eisenach-Erfurt-Weimar-Leipzig-Dresden; trains run at 2-hourly intervals
